Maynor & Mitchell Eye Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, and revenue cycle management. This role requires a thorough understanding of healthcare billing, coding, and compliance regulations, along with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities may include the following:

• Process and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on claim statuses
• Review and verify patient billing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and rejections
• Communicate with insurance companies for claim status updates and appeal denied claims
• Work with patients to answer billing questions and set up payment arrangements if necessary
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect the security of health information
• Generate and review billing reports to ensure accuracy and resolve any outstanding issues
• Stay updated on insurance guidelines and healthcare billing regulations
